Spooky Sudoku: 5 Medium Halloween Puzzles for Kids – Free Printable
Five medium 4x4 Halloween Sudoku puzzles for kids ages 8–10. These free printable worksheets offer a slightly more challenging logic activity for Halloween, perfect for home, classroom, or quiet-time practice.
The Midnight Sudoku Club
On Halloween night, five little ghosts floated into an old house at the edge of town. Inside, they found a wooden table covered with pumpkins, autumn leaves, and five mysterious puzzle sheets.
Each sheet was a spooky Sudoku.

Soon they discovered the secret: every number could appear only once in each row, column, and box.
One by one, the empty squares began to fill.
When the final puzzle was solved, the old clock struck midnight. The pumpkins lit up, the bats flew in circles above the house, and a hidden cupboard slowly opened.
Inside was a Halloween surprise: candy, tiny toys, and a note that read:
“For clever puzzle solvers who never give up.”
From that night on, the five ghosts met every Halloween for another round of spooky Sudoku.

How to Solve the Spooky Sudoku
Download and print the worksheets on A4 paper. Fill in the empty squares using the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. Each number can appear only once in every row, every column, and each 2×2 box.
These puzzles are a little more challenging, so look carefully at the numbers already in place before choosing where the missing ones should go. If a number would repeat in the same row, column, or box, try a different square.
Take your time, use a pencil, and keep going until every square is filled correctly.
