A Little Halloween Maze Adventure

On Halloween night, something strange happened in Spooky Hollow. The moon was shining, the pumpkins were glowing, and everyone was getting ready for the Halloween parade. But five little friends had gotten themselves into five very twisty problems.

Could you help them find their way?

1. The Ghost and the Mummy

Boo the little ghost was supposed to meet his mummy friend before the parade. But the mummy was hiding somewhere beyond a maze of winding paths. Can you help Boo find the right way?

Two Halloween maze activities for kids: a ghost searches for a mummy, and a black cat tries to reach the pumpkins, surrounded by bats, spiders, and webs.

2. The Black Cat and the Pumpkins

Midnight the black cat spotted three glowing jack-o’-lanterns on the other side of the maze. He hurried toward them — and immediately got lost. Help Midnight reach the pumpkins before their candles go out!

3. The Two Little Witches

Two friends put on their favorite witch hats for Halloween, but somehow ended up on opposite sides of a maze. They can almost see each other. Can you find the path that brings them back together?

4. The Bat and the Cauldron

A tiny bat is carrying one last magical ingredient for the witch’s bubbling cauldron. The potion won’t be ready without it. Help the bat find the cauldron in time.

5. The Ghost in the Jar

Just when everyone thought the adventure was over, a little witch heard a very tiny...

“Boo!”

A ghost had been trapped inside a magic jar! Follow the maze and help the witch reach the jar so she can set the ghost free.

And when the last maze is solved, everyone finally makes it to the Halloween parade. 🎃

What's Inside This Free Halloween Maze Pack?

This printable pack includes 5 easy 8×8 mazes, each with a different Halloween character and a simple mission to complete. The mazes are designed for children ages 4–6, with wide paths and an easy difficulty level for younger maze solvers.

The PDF is formatted for A4 paper and includes an answer key, so parents and teachers can quickly check each maze.

A Fun Way to Practice Through Play

Mazes give young children a chance to practice visual tracking, pencil control, planning, and simple problem-solving while playing. Instead of completing five unrelated puzzles, children can follow the characters through one little Halloween adventure.

You can also invite your child to tell you what happens next: Where are the pumpkins going? What is bubbling inside the cauldron? How did the ghost get inside the jar?

That turns a simple maze activity into a small storytelling game as well.

Ways to Use the Mazes

These pages work well as a quiet Halloween activity at home, an early-finisher activity in preschool or kindergarten, a Halloween party table activity, or simply a screen-free activity for a rainy October afternoon.
